Comparison
The CompanyCam alternative that runs the rest of the job.
CompanyCam is a good photo app. If photos are all you need, it does that job. This page is for the contractor who already has the photos and is still doing the reports, the schedule, the bids and the books by hand at nine at night — and who is tired of paying by the head to add a crew member.
| Supervisr | CompanyCam | |
|---|---|---|
| Crew seats | Unlimited, free. Every foreman, lead and crew member you want in the app costs nothing extra — the plan is priced on usage, not headcount. | Priced per user, with a three-user minimum. Additional users are billed at about $29 each per month. |
| AI review on every photo | Every photo uploaded is checked against trade-specific industry standards. It flags what needs eyes and documents what's done right. | — |
| What you get per tier | Every feature, in every tier. Tiers differ only by monthly allotment — you never lose a capability by paying less. | Features are split across tiers. |
| Photo capture and organisation | Photos land on the job they belong to, with automatic time and location stamps, from web or either mobile app. | Yes — this is the core of the product, with automatic time and location stamps. |
| Client reports | One tap. Shared from your own phone and your own number — Supervisr never contacts your customers. | Photo reports you assemble and send. |
| Crew scheduling + daily crew texts | A crews-by-days board with half-day granularity, unavailability and auto-stack. Opt-in daily crew texts send themselves. | — |
| Bids, change orders, e-sign | Quotes and change orders go out, come back signed, and become the job's paper trail without a second tool. | — |
| Work orders and POs | Work orders and purchase orders generated from the job, with the scope and pay rates already filled in. | — |
| Financials and receipts | Monthly financials, margins, commissions, receipts and expense capture with Receipt Recon, plus Excel export in your paste order. | — |
| Marketing from your verified work | Posts, reels, showcases, review requests and Google Business posts, drafted from jobs the QA engine already verified. You approve everything. | — |
| Already on CompanyCam? | Connect it. Your existing photo flow keeps working and the photos come straight into QA — you do not have to move your crew first. | Your photos, in CompanyCam. |
CompanyCam is a jobsite photo documentation product and is good at that. The rows marked “—” are simply outside what it sets out to do; they are not failures on its part. Seat pricing and packaging are theirs to change at any time, so check their own site for current numbers before you compare. Everything in the Supervisr column is live today.
Why the seat model is the whole argument
Per-user pricing quietly punishes the thing you actually want, which is every person on the job putting photos in the system. The moment a seat costs money, somebody decides the third guy on the crew does not need one, and the record of that job now has a hole in it — usually on exactly the day something went sideways.
Supervisr prices on usage instead of headcount, so crew seats are unlimited and free. Add the whole crew, add the subs you trust, add the office. The record fills in because nobody had to be told to be economical about it.
Photos are the input, not the product
A photo of a finished shower pan is evidence of nothing until someone with the standards in their head looks at it. That is the part Supervisr automates: the QA engine reads every photo against trade-specific industry standards and comes back with flags on what needs eyes and notes on what was done right. The flag reaches you while the crew is still on site — which is the only window where a fix is cheap.
From there the same photos do the rest of your paperwork: they become the client report, the closeout record, and the marketing. One upload, many jobs done.
You do not have to switch on day one
If your crew already lives in CompanyCam, leave them there. Connect the account and the photos flow into Supervisr's QA on their own. You get the flags, the reports and the back office without asking anyone to change a habit mid-season — and if you later decide to consolidate, the record is already in one place.
